APPro 2401 Outdoor Client

APPro 2401 Outdoor Client is a cost-effective alternative to cheap WLAN cards. It allows easy installation, wireless network management, and it protects the network from actions of irresponsible users, as well as users from some forms of virus attacks. Device achieves high performance (up to 26 Mbit/s on standard WLAN, and up to 40 Mbit/s over LAN for UDP traffic).

Hardware

  • integrated 12 dBi antenna (4 km range);
  • single WLAN port (2,4 GHz);
  • single LAN port (10/100 Mbit/s);
  • 12 V PoE support (over Ethernet cable);
  • two-port PoE Injector with power supply.

Features

  • APC mode (client station) and Bridge Slave mode;
  • routing, NAT, DHCP in WISP mode;
  • adjustable transmitter power;
  • packet aggregation;
  • "network neighborhood" filtering: RPC, and others (NETBIOS Filtering);
  • broadcast traffic filtering;
  • selectable transmission speeds (Tx Operation Rate);
  • watchdog that restarts device in case of lost connectivity;
  • PPPoE protocol support;
  • PPPoE client on WLAN interface.

Bandwidth management

  • traffic manager for up to 10 IP or MAC addresses;
  • control over number of connections and transmitted packets per second;
  • client identification based on IP address, subclass, or MAC address;
  • preventing IP address change by a client, thanks to assigning IP to a specific MAC address;
  • traffic priorities;
  • traffic filtering for addresses without assigned bandwidth.

Security

  • static ARP;
  • firewall/NAT;
  • traffic filtering for unauthorized IP addresses;
  • traffic filtering on selected ports;
  • port forwarding.

Flexibility

  • device management via Web interface, SSH, or telnet.

Firmware bases on latest version of hardware-accelerated APPro54G TF. Web interface is identical to one found in APPro54G, except following restrictions:

  • APC and Bridge Slave modes;
  • routing modes limited to Bridge, and Router;
  • DHCP client available only on WLAN interface;
  • NAT feature available only on WLAN and PPPoE interfaces;
  • uplink bandwidth management available only on WLAN and PPPoE interfaces;
  • downlink bandwidth management available only on LAN interface;
  • DHCP server available only on LAN interface;
  • Traffic Manager table limited to 10 entries;
  • disabled feature to modify files in flash memory.
