New incarnation of APPro5003 firmware

APProsoftware.com announces a major firmware update for 5 GHz devices. The latest software includes a number of enhancements essential for user comfort, data display, and operation of underlying Linux distribution.

What's new in APPro5003v2:

• new madwifi driver 5.0
• advanced Web interface developed from 2405-series firmware (2.4 GHz)
• available channels from 4,9 GHz to 6 GHz
• dedicated client modes for Mikrotik systems
• maximum performance of APPro5003v2 devices in AP - APC Transparent setup: over 50 Mbit/s (halfduplex with compression)
• enhanced firewall, as in APPro 2405
• enhanced traffic manager, as in APPro 2405
• live visualization of traffic flow
• site survey with live signal level graphs
• active client list with live signal level and modulation graphs

The firmware is available as a license (software installed by user), and as a product (preinstalled in the devices). Upgrade for existing APPro5000/5003 device base will be published by the end of July 2009.
