Field tests of devices with APPro firmware

In October we've performed several field tests of our software in various configurations. The tests provided us with important data that helped in APPro firmware development.

Obtained results and drawn conclusions had direct impact on latest versions of APPro54G and APPro2401, that soon will be available on APProSoftware.com Web page. Below is a small photoreport we put together to illustrate the measurements.

We are in Kondratowice parish near Wroclaw, on an elevated spot. We look for a place that's suitable for our measurements. There! A perfect one!

OK, enough of fooling around! This is a prototype of our base station.

Undercover agent reporting...

First we tested how our firmware performs when device connects to a MikroTik base station. (Note: the screenshots are available in full resolution. To see larger version, right-click on a picture and select "Show picture" command, or save an image file to your hard drive.)

Then we looked at signal level differences for CCK and OFDM modulations.

It took more than an hour to find a solution.

Finally, we tested performance of a link between two APPro2401 devices. The result: 12 Mbit/s.
