New version of APPro5000

Today we've made available latest version of APPro5000 software. The firmware supports new devices (RDAA-81 / CA8-Pro), and contains improvements and bugfixes based on customer feedback.

Major changes in APPro5000-27.03.2008-rev278 software:

• added support for RDAA-81 devices;
• new madwifi driver (HAL 0.9.17.1 dedicated for ar531x);
• kernel upgrade to version 2.4.34;
• patch for base/mport;
• patch for bridge_nf;
• patch that enables support for 32 entries in TFM;
• ethernet driver now supports Marvell, Realtek, and Kendin chipsets;
• kernel configuration unified with APPro54G;
• wpa_supplicant and hostapd upgraded to version 0.6.0;
• pppd upgraded to version 2.4.2b1;
• pppoe upgraded to version 3.3;
• multiple smaller kernel bugfixes;
• lzma compression support;
• IP/IP and GRE protocol support;
• AP configuration scripts are rewritten and separated;
• traffic manager now bases on TBF and enables packet-based traffic control (similar to APPro54G);
• firewall support in TCP/IP bridge and router modes;
• 'network neighborhood' filtering in TCP/IP bridge and router modes;
• detection and logging of Ethernet cable connection/disconnection;
• fixed MAC address change on WLAN interface;
• fixed WPA/WPA2 encryption in Mikrotik-support modes;
• added Infrastructure Client mode that masks MAC addresses (required for APPro5000 to operate in client mode with non-APPro devices);
• modified diversity settings.
